Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce is a private organization representing public interests, not profit-seeking and registered in the Register of mixed and foreign chambers of commerce in Italy.

The Chamber of Commerce was established in 1964 as Italian-Soviet Chamber of Commerce due to initiative of some largest Italian entrepreneurs. This event was favorably met by business circles and Soviet institutes.

Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce is of national character and the sole Italian institution which activity is focus on development of economical and commercial relations between Russia and Italy. Its role acknowledged by bilateral intergovernmental agreements is also to make Italian and Russian authorities more sensible in respect with entrepreneurial needs. With this purpose the Chamber, supported by its Office, ICE and Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the RF, actively cooperates with "Russian-Italian Committee of Entrepreneurs for Business Cooperation" and other related working groups. The Chamber keeps in touch with State authorities of both countries by arranging various events, visits of public persons and businessmen, seminars, conferences and etc.

The IRCC members include large, medium and small size companies, financial organizations and some regional Italian and Russian chambers of commerce.
